After more than 35 years, Smudo, Thomas D, Michi Beck and And.Ypsilon – the pioneers of German-language hip-hop – are saying goodbye to big touring. Their farewell tour “Der letzte Bus” (“The last bus”) runs from 2026 to 2028 and ends in summer 2028 with eight big “Final Shows” in stadiums and special open-air venues. According to the band, no further live shows are planned after that. Here are all dates, the state of ticket sales and tips for travel and hotels.
All Final Shows 2028
- Fri, 9 June 2028 – Rostock, IGA Parkbühne
- Sat, 10 June 2028 – Leipzig, Red Bull Arena
- Fri, 23 June 2028 – Hamburg, Volksparkstadion
- Fri, 7 July 2028 – Frankfurt am Main, Deutsche Bank Park
- Sat, 8 July 2028 – Cologne, RheinEnergieStadion
- Fri, 21 July 2028 – Stuttgart, MHP Arena
- Fri, 28 July 2028 – Berlin, Waldbühne
- Fri, 18 August 2028 – Coburg, Schlossplatz
Munich is also set to be part of the Final Shows; date and venue have not been announced yet (as of 28 October 2026). We'll add it as soon as it's confirmed.
Tickets
General sale for the 2028 Final Shows has been running on Eventim since 7 October 2026. Prices depend on venue and category – check the current price directly in the ticket shop. According to the band and promoter, the 2026 and 2027 arena and open-air shows are largely sold out; for those, only official resale platforms are worth a look.
Our advice: buy from official sellers only. Farewell tours attract a lot of fake or heavily overpriced tickets on classifieds and social media.
The venues: getting there & where to stay
Rostock – IGA Parkbühne
The open-air stage is in the IGA Park in the north-west of the city, close to the Warnow river. S-Bahn or tram are the best way to get there – details on how the promoter organises arrival and departure will be on your ticket or the promoter's website before the show. Where to stay: Rostock city centre or, for a seaside feel, Warnemünde.
Leipzig – Red Bull Arena
The stadium sits on the edge of the Waldstraßenviertel, a few minutes by tram from Leipzig Hauptbahnhof or a 20-minute walk. Where to stay: the city centre around the market square and the main station – an easy walk back after the show.
Hamburg – Volksparkstadion
Take the S-Bahn to Stellingen; on event days shuttle buses usually run to the stadium, otherwise it's a longer walk. Allow plenty of time to get away after the show. Where to stay: Altona, St. Pauli or around the main station – all with good S-Bahn links.
Frankfurt am Main – Deutsche Bank Park
The stadium is in Frankfurt's city forest. The S-Bahn takes you from the main station to “Stadion” station in a few minutes, then it's a short walk. Where to stay: around the main station or in Sachsenhausen, both well connected.
Cologne – RheinEnergieStadion
The stadium is in Müngersdorf in the west of the city. Tram line 1 runs to the “RheinEnergieStadion” stop, usually with extra services on event days. Where to stay: the city centre or the Belgian Quarter, right on line 1.
Stuttgart – MHP Arena
The MHP Arena is in the NeckarPark in Bad Cannstatt – a fitting finale in the band's home town. Take the S-Bahn to “Neckarpark”, then it's a few minutes on foot. Where to stay: Bad Cannstatt or Stuttgart city centre.
Berlin – Waldbühne
The Waldbühne next to the Olympic Park is one of Germany's most beautiful open-air stages. Take the S-Bahn to “Pichelsberg” or the U2 to “Olympia-Stadion”, then walk for a few minutes. Where to stay: Charlottenburg or Westend, with short trips back.
Coburg – Schlossplatz
The Schlossplatz is right in the centre of Coburg, in front of Ehrenburg Palace, a short walk from Coburg station through the old town. Coburg is a small town, so hotel rooms go quickly on concert weekends – book early. Alternatives: Bamberg or Lichtenfels, both with rail links.
Getting tickets and hotels right
- Ticket first, then hotel: book a room with free cancellation if you can, so you stay flexible.
- Plan your way home: trains and roads are packed after stadium shows. A hotel within walking distance or on a direct rail line saves a lot of stress.
- Make a weekend of it: almost all dates fall on a Friday or Saturday – perfect for a city break around the show.
As of 28 October 2026. Dates and venues according to the band (derletztebus.de) and Eventim. Promoters may make changes – the details on your ticket are what count.
