Concert tickets are gifts people enjoy twice – once when unwrapping and again at the show. Here are gift ideas for music lovers, sorted by budget: vouchers, tickets, experiences and small companions for the concert night.
First: tickets or voucher?
- Tickets are the nicer surprise if you know the favourite band, the date and who is going. Note: many tickets are personalised – check whether the name can be changed later.
- Vouchers are the safe choice. The recipient picks the concert, musical or opera.
- Combo tip: give a voucher together with a printout of a matching guide – for example Musicals in Hamburg.
Gifts under €25
- A concert voucher to top up: the EVENTIM voucher starts at €20 – a nice base the recipient can add to for their next ticket.
- Hearing protection for concerts: concert earplugs with filters lower the volume without muffling the sound – real concert-goers love them.
- A small experience voucher: a GetYourGuide gift card with a freely chosen amount, for example for a harbour cruise before a musical in Hamburg.
Gifts under €50
- Tickets for local concerts: Christmas concerts and smaller shows near you make a perfect shared evening.
- Music experiences: tours of famous concert halls, music-themed city walks or small concerts – many are on GetYourGuide.
- A bigger EVENTIM voucher: the amount can be set between €20 and €250.
Gifts under €100
- A classical evening: classical concerts and opera all over Europe – Classictic also sells transferable gift vouchers.
- A musical voucher: the EVENTIM voucher also works for musical tickets – ideal for The Lion King, MJ or Moulin Rouge! in Hamburg.
- Open air 2027 under the tree: presales for summer 2027 are already running – for example Take That or Sting.
Premium: a whole concert weekend
- Musical weekend in Hamburg: tickets, a hotel within walking distance and a harbour cruise – see our Hamburg guide.
- Stadium show with an overnight stay: for example Oasis 2027 in Munich.
- New Year in Vienna: waltzes, Strauss and New Year's concerts – tips in our Christmas and New Year concerts guide.
